Brooke & Kristian - Current Students at 151 Property

151 Property is a portfolio company owned by funds advised or managed by Blackstone — one of the world’s leading investment firms and the world’s largest private owner of commercial real estate.

We employ more than 80 seasoned real estate professionals to actively manage and successfully reposition office, retail and logistics assets.

Our Head Office is in Sydney and we have offices in Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.

We’ve developed a unique brand and culture influenced by current thinking and new ideas.

We encourage passion, accountability, collaboration, creativity and diverse thought.

Working with 151 Property you never know what kind of challenges, tasks or opportunities will arise — and we urge our people to share their ideas, concepts and solutions.

Our core values, integrity, excellence, accountability, collaboration and agility, guide our work, our evolution and the selection of our team.

We’re all about teamwork, respect and treating one another as peers. By focusing on our people and our culture, we’ve created an inclusive, collaborative, engaged, dynamic and high-performing team — and an enjoyable workplace.

In 2018 we transformed our Head Office into a modern, activated and agile space that supports activity-based working and flexible work arrangements. This allows us to work the way that suits us best.

Our office is structured with spaces dedicated to different tasks. There are couches and spaces to relax, informal and formal collaboration zones and a variety of spaces to do more focused work. Without allocated desks, we can move around our office freely, helping our bodies and our minds.

Our work space has enabled us to be more engaged, work more effectively, and be more dynamic. We’ve learnt to trust each other more to get the job done — even when working remotely. It has facilitated an incredible new phase of unity and purpose.

Working at 151 Property will give you broad knowledge and provide you with practical experience in your field. Our business is highly transactional and will often put you at the forefront of these transactions. Our team members are highly regarded within the industry.

Our people have numerous employee benefits, many of them exceeding our obligations. They include:

  • Activity-based working and flexible working arrangements
  • Laptop and mobile phone for each team member
  • Performance reviews that include career development planning
  • Education and training for all levels, including regular internal development opportunities through Lunch & Learns, Think Tanks and Meet Up sessions
  • Additional leave entitlements (study, exam, birthday, volunteering, parental, purchased leave)
  • Support for health and wellbeing (run club, Wellness Room, showers and lockers, lunchtime sporting events)
  • Social initiatives (151 Social Committee, 151 Workplace Committee, 151 Community Committee, plus a focus on diversity and inclusion)
  • A fabulous place to work!

At 151 Property we don’t just make platitudes about social responsibility to look good — we live it!

Our current Community Partner is Two Good Co, a Sydney-based not-for-profit that provides beautiful food and lifestyle products to local domestic violence refugees, and gives them help to restart their lives and careers.

We love that we’re part of restoring worth and giving hope. We encourage our teams to participate in a number of fundraising and volunteering opportunities throughout the year, which people find incredibly rewarding.

We also offer each team member a paid volunteer-for-a-charity day each year.

Currently we do not have a formal internship or grad program, however we are always looking for ways to have great people be part of our team – whether that’s short term or long term. We do offer casual paid work for final year students, which includes access to a range of our employee benefits. We are also currently reviewing how we can provide students with opportunities during university holidays to gain practical experience to support their education.

The following attributes are what we look for in students:

  • High performance in current study towards a degree in Accounting, Property (Land Economics), Business, Marketing, Economics or other related disciplines (preferably final year)
  • A strong passion and desire to work in the property industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A team player
  • Dynamism and capacity for creative thought

If you’re dynamic and committed, and you want to be part of a forward-thinking team that’s going places, we’d love to hear from you.

“Our people are our strongest asset”
