Brooke & Kristian - Ex students now full time Analysts at 151 Property

151 Property is a specialist manager of real estate in Australia and New Zealand, overseeing the management of more than 3.0 million square metres of real estate and interacting with over 1,700 customers.

A portfolio company owned by the funds advised or managed by Blackstone – one of the world’s leading investment firms and the largest real estate private equity firm in the world – we specialise in active management, capital investment and disposition of stabilised and value-add assets.

Working with our valued customers, we apply commercial strategies and creative execution for optimal results across office, retail and logistics assets.

Since 2011, Blackstone has invested A$11 billion in real estate in Australia, managed by our team of more than 95 seasoned real estate professionals located at our Head Office in Sydney as well as branches in Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.

Our vision is to be globally recognised as the trusted real estate advisors in real estate transformation.

151 Property’s core values – integrity, excellence, accountability, collaboration and agility – guide our work, our evolution and the selection of our team.

We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer with no gender pay gap for like-for-like work and strong female representation in leadership positions. Our selection process requires a minimum of two interviews – one with a female candidate and one with a male candidate.

We actively work to build team unity and enable our people to excel in their careers. Our workplace committees give our talented and passionate team members many ways to contribute to the business, and we offer continual training and development opportunities for everyone.

By focusing on our people and our culture, we’ve created an inclusive, collaborative, engaged, dynamic and high-performing team – and an enjoyable, positive workplace that enables us to retain key talent.

In 2018 we transformed our Sydney Head Office into a modern, activated and agile space that supports activity based working and flexible work arrangements. This allows us to work the way that suits us best.

Our office is structured with spaces dedicated to different tasks. There are couches and spaces to relax, informal and formal collaboration zones and a variety of spaces to do more focused work.

Without allocated desks, we can be more dynamic, more engaged with one another, and work more effectively. We’ve learnt to trust each other more to get the job done – even when working remotely.

Activity based working has facilitated an incredible new phase of unity and purpose for our business.

Working at 151 Property will give you broad knowledge and provide you with practical experience in your field, as well as additional training and development opportunities to be your best.

Our business is highly transactional and will often put you at the forefront of these transactions, and our team members are highly regarded within the property industry.

151 Property is committed to making a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate, by supporting worthwhile social enterprise projects in our local area. Since 2018, we have been actively involved in Community Partnerships with deserving local not-for-profit organisations.

In 2019 we developed fundraising ideas that contributed more than $134,000 to local social enterprise initiatives. The majority of our fundraising was dedicated to our Community Partner Two Good Co – an Australian social enterprise that supports survivors of domestic violence.

151 Property is a proud partner of the national NABERS Green Star and NABERS ratings scheme and we are active members of the Property Council of Australia and the Green Building Council of Australia and appreciate their leadership in sustainable innovations.

Currently we do not have a formal internship or grad program, however we are always looking for great people to join us – whether short-term or long-term.

We offer casual paid work for final year university students, which includes access to a range of our employee benefits. We are also currently reviewing how we can provide students with opportunities during university holidays to gain practical experience to support their education.

The following attributes are what we look for in students:

  • High performance in current study towards a degree in Accounting, Property (Land Economics), Business, Marketing, Economics or other related disciplines (preferably final year)
